I know very well that my dance students learn more quickly when we’re getting ready for a show. It’s having the deadline, everyone else relying on you to know your part, and the overall excitement of a show that makes it all happen. But, what happens when there’s no show or you don’t have anyone to play with?
Announcing the ONLINE FLAMENCO STUDIO’S first DANCE CHALLENGE!
This challenge runs the ENTIRE month of June 2017.
Now is YOUR chance to learn some fun Tangos choreographies from Rina Orellana in the Online Flamenco Studio, connect with your flamenco friends all over the world, show up in your life with flamenco, and maybe win a PRIZE…
Here’s how it works:
- Join our Facebook event so we can all support each other learning the choreographies and give plenty of ‘jaleos’
- Learn one of the three selected Tangos choreographies from the Online Flamenco Studio (see below).
- Video yourself dancing it. Dance in costume or not, in your living room, on the street, on stage, in the dance studio, on the beach – wherever is the most fun for you!
- Upload the video to your YouTube channel with ONLINE FLAMENCO STUDIO DANCE CHALLENGE #1 in the title by June 30th, 2017. Make sure to add your name and where you are from in the description of your video. Also, share the link in this FB event page.
- Have a great time watching your fellow dancers all over the world and give them “jaleos”. (You can search for other dancers’ videos by typing in ONLINE FLAMENCO STUDIO DANCE CHALLENGE #1 on YouTube).
- We’ll pick our favorite video(s) by July 4, 2017 to share on our Facebook and YouTube pages. Our favorite video for each choreography will receive the following GRAND PRIZE!

Terms & Conditions: You must be a current member of the Online Flamenco Studio to participate in the challenge and access the choreography videos, as well as dozens of other lessons. By posting your video onto YouTube with the proper heading, you agree to have your video shared by the Online Flamenco Studio. If you win, your free membership begins at the end of your current payment schedule. At the end of the year, your account will be terminated and you’ll have the option to return with your original pricing. All submissions are juried by Online Flamenco Studio staff. One grand prize will be awarded for each choreography. Submission deadline in 11:59 PM PDT June 30, 2017. Any videos submitted after the due date will not be considered for the prize.
