ABOUT RINA ORELLANA

Based in the South Bay of Los Angeles, I’m a Madrid-trained flamenco dancer, teacher, and choreographer with over 25 years of experience. I studied at the legendary Amor de Dios in Madrid with some of the world’s most celebrated artists, and I continue training to expand my craft. I love blending the power of flamenco puro with my own contemporary, feminine style, and throughout the years I’ve performed across Southern California, directed my dance company, and created the Flamenco Project to highlight local talent. Sharing flamenco—on stage and in the studio—is my passion, and I feel grateful every day to be part of this beautiful, ever-evolving art form.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

The Rina Orellana Flamenco Company has been one of my greatest joys to build. I’ve created full-length theater works, tablao performances, and special shows featuring remarkable artists from Spain and the U.S., and today the company is made up of dancers I’ve personally trained. These dedicated women embody the spirit of flamenco, and together with respected local musicians, we bring heartfelt tablao performances to our community.

ABOUT THE ACADEMY

For 20 years, the Rina Orellana Flamenco Dance Academy has been a welcoming home for dancers in the South Bay (Los Angeles). I teach students of all levels how to truly dance flamenco—with confidence, clarity, and heart—and my dancers look absolutely incredible doing it. They shine every year in our annual showcase, celebrating their growth and the vibrant spirit of our community. The Academy is a supportive space where dancers challenge themselves, express themselves, and discover the fire of flamenco.

ABOUT THE

ONLINE FLAMENCO STUDIO

I founded the Online Flamenco Studio in 2015 so dancers around the world could experience flamenco in an accessible, supportive way. Today, members range from brand-new beginners to advanced dancers, hobbyists to dedicated flamencas, all following structured courses in technique, choreography, compás, and more. What I love most is our warm, encouraging community—women who cheer each other on every step of the way. It’s a place to learn, grow, and feel truly connected to the art of flamenco.
